About Julie Bergmann...
Julie’s love of papier mache and paper clay (as well many other mediums) started from an early age. As a child, her father would take her on outings to their favorite ice cream shop. She would love to stare into the giant containers of swirling colors and marvel as the clerk would sculpt a delicious creation right before her eyes. Then one day in kindergarten her class was given an art project to create trash cans from the same giant ice cream containers. Upon completing her trash can adorned with colorful designs from her box of crayons, Julie was hooked and her passion for art blossomed.
From her home in southern California she produces any kind of art her heart desires. She is an accomplished photographer with many published images as greeting cards, art prints, magazine covers and portraits. As a mixed media artist her work has been featured in Somerset Studios, Somerset Memories, Somerset Holiday and Celebrations, Somerset Wedding, Somerset Studio Gallery, and Life Images. Her recent passion for papier mache sculpture has provided her with a featured artist position in the spring 2008 edition of Somerset Workshop where she filled over 27 pages of her designs with complete tutorials.
